Course and Grading - Scotland 2008

This is a major event in the Kobe Osaka England calendar and the biggest event in Kobe Osaka Scotland. Held on the weekend of 11th-13th April in Linlithgow, it was attended by 125 students and instructors. Twenty-five students and instructors from England made the journey north to train under some of the best instructors in the world. The Friday afternoon was a training session just for the England students and instructors, both sessions lasted for four hours and a varied amount of training was enjoyed by all that attended. Instructors trained in Carluke under Shihan Tommy Morris 8th Dan in his dojo. Students trained in the Linlithgow Leisure Centre under Sensei Steven Morris 6th Dan. The Saturday was for all students and instructors from England and Scotland. The course was held in Linlithgow Leisure Centre and lasted from 10.00am to 3.30pm. For most that was the end of the day but for a few brave students there was a grading to attempt! Most students were successful and passed their grading, some failed and left with advice on what they need to improve on to grade successfully next time.
